The AOD on my Gear S3, after it goes into dim mode, will totally turn off the screen after a few seconds. I DO see the dimmed/alternate screen for a few seconds before the watch screen turns off.

According to my experience, the difference is only in terms, i.e. the term AOD is used in designing watch faces using Gear Watch Designer and the term ambient mode is used in making watch applications using Tizen SDK. You can use Gear Watch Designer to make your own faces to your choosing. That's what I ended up doing when I couldn't find a face I liked. My sticking point was mostly the AOD, I prefer a simple time only AOD.

Hi, unfortunately, I cant keep the logo on the AOD mode. The new Virtual Cockpit version removes the logo in AOD more then displays the previously selected logo when the watch face wakes up.
